Opus One

Opus One

Opus one, a great wine, is the result of the joint efforts undertaken by Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe Rothschild. They planned about it when they were in Hawaii but chalked it out in Bordeaux. Both of them purchased prime vineyard property of about 50 acres and made the 1978 and 1980 vintages of Opus One at the same time. They got successful in creating the Opus One brand as the first ultra premium wine of America.
