Concha y Toro
Concha y Toro wines are America’s number 1 imported wine from Chile. The vineyard is one of the countries oldest and the label one of the most recognizable. Don Melchor and his wife Doña Emiliana Subercaseaux first founded the vineyard in 1883. The Don brought traditional Bordeaux grapes to Chile and began to develop his vineyard and winery. Over the years Concha y Toro has moved with the times, expanded and grown into Chiles leading exporter of wines. The modern era of Concha y Toro began with its association with America importers Banfi Vintners in 1987. This merger allowed for the modernization of the winemaking process and vineyards. Today Conch y Toro produces its wines from vineyards spanning over 11,200 acres across Chiles prime wine country.
